Birgit Brinkmann

Nach ihrem Studium „Öffentliche Kulturarbeit und Kulturmanagement“ an der PH Ludwigsburg arbeitete Birgit Brinkmann im Kulturamt der Stadt Stuttgart in verschiedenen Bereichen der Kulturförderung. 2001 wechselte sie ins Kulturmanagement in das Veranstaltungszentrum TREFPPUNKT Rotebühlplatz. Seit 2006 ist sie an der vhs stuttgart neben dem Internationalen Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival Stuttgart und weiteren Großprojekten im Veranstaltungs- und Kursangebot im Fachbereich Tanz tätig.

Birgit Brinkmann studied „Public cultural work and cultural management“ at the PH Ludwigsburg and worked in various areas of cultural promotion at the Cultural Departement of the City Stuttgart. From 2001, she worked in cultural management at the event center TREFFPUNKT Rotebühlplatz and since 2006 she has been responsible for the International Solo Dance Theater Festival and many other major projects in the dance department at the volkshochschule stuttgart.

Solo Choreo

The evening before the competition belongs to Stuttgart’s independent dance scene. Choreographers from Stuttgart and the surrounding region present their contemporary solo pieces. The performances follow the format of the preliminary rounds of the International Solo-Dance-Theater Festival Stuttgart. Stuttgart Solo Choreo highlights the strength and diversity of the Stuttgart scene. The dance productions are performed outside of the competition and will not be awarded.
