Marcelo Santos nasceu em Niterói Rio de Janeiro Brasil. Estudou na escola de dança da INEARTE, dançou no ballett do teatro Guairá em Curitiba, foi bailarino solista no Ulmer ballett e Augsburger ballett.   Fundador do Teatro dos Três, como coreógrafo e diretor geral de teatro, criou várias coreografias e dirigiu várias peças de teatro, é convidado por vários festivais e concursos de dança com membro do corpo de jurado e experto para eventos de teatro de dança contemporânea em todo o mundo.  É o iniciador do Internationales Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival Stuttgart onde também faz a direção artística.

Marcelo Santos was born in Rio de Janeiro and trained there as a ballet dancer at INEARTE College. After his graduation, he danced at the Guaíra Theatre in Curitiba, Southern Brazil, for a number of years and, then, embarked on an international career, performing as a solo artist at the Municipal Theatre of Ulm City and later at the City of Augsburg Municipal Theatre, in Germany. Marcelo Santos is founder of Teatro-dos-Três, where he works as a managing director. He is the author of several pieces of choreography, director of famous theatre works and a consistent contributor towards the promotion of contemporary theatre dance with special appearances as jury member and/or expert guest at dance festivals and prize winning contests worldwide. He is also the founder of the acclaimed International Solo-Tanz-Theatre Festival Stuttgart, held annually at the City of Stuttgart, Germany, where he works as a director of dance art.

Marcelo Santos wurde in Rio de Janeiro geboren und absolvierte dort seine Ausbildung als Balletttänzer an der INEARTE Hochschule. Nach seinem Abschluss tanzte er einige Jahre am Guaíra Theater in Curitiba in Südbrasilien, bis er seine internationale Karriere als Solist am Ulmer Theater begann. Später tanzte er viele Jahre an den Städtischen Bühnen Augsburg. Marcelo Santos ist der Gründer von Teatro-dos-Três, wo er als Künstlerischer Leiter und Choreograph zahlreiche Stücke entwickelte und inszenierte. Marcelo Santos Bestreben gilt der Weiterentwicklung und Förderung des Zeitgenössischen Tanzes, als Jurymitglied und Experte ist er weltweit ein gern gesehener Gast bei Festivals und Wettbewerben. Sein wichtigstes Projekt ist das Internationale Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival Stuttgart, das jährlich in Stuttgart durchgeführt wird. Er ist Gründer dieses Wettbewerbs für junge Choreographen und Tänzer und dessen Künstlerischer Leiter.
